We're excited to announce one of our amazing gala speakers: Neiva Guedes! Guedes is a Brazilian biologist and conservationist whose work has helped preserve the Hyacinth Macaw, a parrot native to eastern and central South America. Guedes started working with Hyacinth Macaws in 1989 and has continued for more than 30 years. Once on the edge of extinction, the Hyacinth Macaw has been able to flourish in many areas of the Pantanal in Brazil thanks to Guedes and other conservationists. Guedes is also President of the Instituto Arara Azul and a professor and researcher at the Universidad Anhanguera-Uniderp.

Nárjara Grossmann is an Epidemiologist at Napa County Public Health and is a Coordinator of the Science Committee at Grupo Mulheres do Brasil, Dimensions Sciences’ partner for the ScientistA award. Nárjara will speak live about her career trajectory as a Brazilian scientist in the US and the importance of our ScientistA award.

We are excited to announce one of our featured gala speakers: Claudia Mitchell, Ph.D, MBA! Claudia Mitchell is a VP at Astellas Pharma and an entrepreneur who has co-founded two biotech companies. Alongside her work as a biotech entrepreneur she has also held positions in the non-profit sector and in academia. Claudia talks in a video about her career trajectory as a Brazilian scientist and entrepreneur in the US and share why she chose to support Dimensions Sciences.
