Our mission is to assist early-career scientists from underrepresented communities through mentoring programs and scholarships to promote diversity in the sciences to further equity, international collaboration, and innovative research.
Happy Pride! Dimensions Sciences is committed to supporting diversity and creating opportunities for greater LGBTQ+ visibility and representation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. For many years, gay men and lesbians were banned from federal employment in the U.S. Only in the 1980’s, did prohibition of workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation begin to gain momentum. However, people from sexual and gender minorities are still under-represented in science. Heteronormative expectations create unconscious bias and an unwelcoming environment that disadvantages LGBTQ+ scientists. Join us in reflecting on how we can help. Let us foster the next LGBTQ+ STEM generation and celebrate their identities and accomplishments. Stay tuned!
We're excited to release our Foundational Report. It covers the first two years of programming since our founding in 2019. Check the impact supporters like you have made through Dimensions Sciences.'s scholarships, awards, mentoring and educational programs.
We want to feature you and your work to give a platform to emerging scientists and inspire future innovators. We hope to share different stories, career paths, and perspectives and provide emerging researchers experience with science communication.
