"My name is Danilo Jobim, I'm 31 years old, I have a master's degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Bahia and I'm finishing my doctorate. I was born and raised in the city of Salvador, in the state of Bahia. The area of ​​biology and genetics have always been my passion since I watched Jurassic Park as a child. Today I work with antibiotic resistance in emerging pathogens. 

During my academic career I had the opportunity to study for a year at the University of Porto, Portugal through the governmental program "Sciences without Borders". More recently, I also had the opportunity to perform research at the University of Cantabria, Spain. I also want to do a post-doctorate and pursue an academic career as a professor and/or researcher in the area of ​​genomics and transcriptomics, developing new diagnostic tools."

 "I have a PhD in Sciences through the Tropical Medicine program at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Sao Paulo - USP (2021). Postgraduate in Hematology and Laboratory Hemotherapy by IPESSP (2016). Level 3-Technical Training Scholarship (2014) from FAPESP. Specialization through the Professional Improvement Program conducted at the Superintendencia de Controle de Endemias - SUCEN (2012). Graduated in Biological Sciences (Licentiate and Bachelor's degree). My professional trajectory was built working in Public Health research with an emphasis on malaria, working mainly on the following topics: Recombinant Proteins (MSP1) from Plasmodium malariae, P. vivax and P. falciparum, Molecular Biology, Avian Malaria and Endemic Vectors."

" I have a degree in agronomy, a master's degree in soil science and currently a PhD in biochemistry. I was a scientific initiation student during graduation where I worked with plant virology and tissue culture. I currently have one article published as the first author and three more as a contributor. 

During my PhD degree my family have been extremely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

 "I hold a Master's and a Licentiate degrees in Biological Sciences. I dedicate my studies to ecology, conservation, and education in collaboration with national and international organizations, such as Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation, Global Wildlife Conservation, and Rewild.  I was awarded with the academic honor as the best student, two Brazilian congressional awards, and international grants for my research. My works aim to measure the importance of biodiversity interactions to human society on distinct scales. My current work migrated to computational science applied to climate change. Despite all social difficulties, I live the dream of becoming and studying what I love. I am interested in the DS Bridges Program to keep my life and my dreams. I believe it is a fantastic opportunity to create new networks, continue my projects, and leverage an international career. "

"In my first year of college, I had to reconcile college and work. In the second year, I got a scholarship to study plant physiology which allowed me to continue to dedicate full-time to studies. Currently is working with product development with biological activity, ecotoxicogic and larvicide assays (Aedes aegypti)."
