"My name is Danilo Jobim, I'm 31 years old, I have a master's degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Bahia and I'm finishing my doctorate. I was born and raised in the city of Salvador, in the state of Bahia. The area of biology and genetics have always been my passion since I watched Jurassic Park as a child. Today I work with antibiotic resistance in emerging pathogens.
During my academic career I had the opportunity to study for a year at the University of Porto, Portugal through the governmental program "Sciences without Borders". More recently, I also had the opportunity to perform research at the University of Cantabria, Spain. I also want to do a post-doctorate and pursue an academic career as a professor and/or researcher in the area of genomics and transcriptomics, developing new diagnostic tools."
